This guide outlines the steps to transfer a HESSDA license from an old PC to a new PC. The process requires the computer name from the old PC and the computer name of the new PC for the license to be transferred to.

Prerequisites

Step 1: Obtain the computer name from the original PC

Open the Start Menu:

• Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner or press the Win key.

Search for Computer Name:

• Type computer name in the Start Menu search bar.
• Select View your PC name (or a similar option like "System" or "About your PC") from the search results.

View the Computer Name:

• This opens the Settings app under System > About.
• Look for Device name (or PC name) in the Device specifications section. This is your computer’s name, often used as a simple identifier on networks.

Repeat the steps above on the new PC/laptop.
